National quality control laboratories (NCLs) are essential to protecting patients from poor quality medical products. These laboratories conduct critical testing and generate important data to help inform regulatory decision-making. Yet, in many countries NCLs are unequipped to carry out this central function.
PQM+ works to build capacity of national laboratories to accurately and reliably test the quality of medicines according to international standards required for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation and World Health Organization (WHO) prequalification.
