Building a sustainable quality assurance system relies on good governance, optimized resources, and a strong, capable workforce. PQM+ collaborates with national governments to develop policies, laws, guidance, and regulations to assure the quality of medical products and protect public health. We work with stakeholders to establish multisectoral groups, including technical working groups, to advance medical product quality assurance.
As part of our governance work, PQM+ develops strategic plans for national quality control laboratories (NCLs) to align with national health goals, achieve global accreditation, and increase budgetary responsibility and empower regulators to take appropriate enforcement actions that protect patients from poor quality products.
